Hello Yellowhead West Pickleball Players,

We have been busy behind the scenes getting organized for a fantastic year of pickleball.

We have received your feedback and thank you for taking the time.  Our format of play initially will be using both Brackets play and Open play.

  We will re access how this is working as the season goes on. Days and times will  alternate between Brackets play and open play.

Open play will allow players to practice/play however they want to assign themselves.  One possibility in open sessions for players not comfortable with brackets will be player sign up sheets and court assignments correlating to skill.

It looks like our start date will be Wednesday October 11th 2023.  A copy of our calendar will be posted to our website soon.

You will still be receiving email invites to attend the sessions.  We will try to  release those invites to sign up for a 2 week stretch, hoping that will allow both the committee to make any necessary adjustments as well as assisting your schedule to plan ahead for a 2 week stretch.

An email will be going out soon to give you your play pass balance from last year. 

 If you are owing sessions, then please purchase another play pass.  If you have a balance, we will honor those balances to apply to this season's play.

Please consider volunteering for a session coordinator position:    We would require you to check the players in to each event and monitor the bracket play and make any necessary adjustments for each event (especially if there are people who don't show up to the event that they have signed up for). 

 We appreciate your support and please feel free to step up and forward your name.   It would be a great benefit if this load was shared amongst a  greater number of players instead of just a few carrying the responsibility.
